Located 160 kms away from Leh, there is a pristine and exquisite lake called Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake is actually an important lake that provides water to different birds who migrate from one place to another. During the summer season, Brahmini ducks and Bar headed goose are frequently spotted here. Marmot and Kiang can also be seen at times.

This lake can be reached very easily from Leh as it is just five hours drive from main region. The journey through road is notably exceptional. The road bypasses Gya and Shey villages traversing the Changla pass. There are many Tour operators in Ladakh which helps the tourist to make their trip comfortable and memorable one.

The best time to visit this spectacular lake is from May to September which are the tourist’s months for Ladakh. This beautiful lake also gains popularity for being shown in movie 3 Idiots. Since then it has attracted tourists from all around the world.
