The lake water is very salty which makes it have less micro vegetation. Neither the lake has any aquatic life excluding some microorganisms. Gulls and ducks might be spotted over the surface of land in great number. Also some particular specie of perennial herbs and scrub can be found here since they grow in marsh near the lake. Pangong Lake is actually an important lake that provides water to different birds who migrate from one place to another.
